Unlock opportunities - Explore challenges
Lebanon Oil and Gas
The Lebanese Petroleum Administration (LPA) is organising an international conference and exhibition, in collaboration with Pinnacle Events, SPE, and EAGE. The Lebanon International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (LIPEC) is the official oil and gas event in Lebanon for 2014 under the patronage of the Ministry of Energy and Water and the Lebanese Petroleum Administration.

The conference is designed to be a meeting point for key stakeholders with vested interests in developing the oil and gas potential of this unique country. It will provide a platform to discuss and share the knowledge and experiences of exploration companies, influential government representatives, and respected academics who are defining the path of Levantine exploration in the region.

A series of stimulating multi-disciplinary discussions that cover various aspects of the industry have been planned. These include a review on markets and updates on progress, an in depth discussion on fiscal, tax, and legal frameworks, an update on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), along with an overview of peripheral and support services like insurance. Technical sessions include HSE, Geology, and Drilling among others, in addition to a special working session on the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI).

Attention will also be given through parallel sessions on student-centric topics including the labor market and opportunities, capabilities development, university programmes offered by local universities and vocational education, and training programmes.

The event will bring together national and international oil and gas companies, governmental institutions, academia and research centres, professional associations, media, civil society organisations, students, and other relevant stakeholders.
